A total of 20 students from the College’s Level 3 Land & Wildlife
and Agriculture Diploma courses took part in a day of practical
learning at the College’s impressive onsite fish farm and lakes.
A further eight students attended a follow-up visit to Embryo’s
Baston fishery near Peterborough. The project offered students
a rare opportunity to work directly within a professional fishery
environment and gain real insight into the industry.
This fantastic learning event was captured in a new film
that brings the students work in fisheries management and
conservation to life. Produced for the Embryo YouTube channel,
the film follows the full journey of fish from rearing through to
stocking, highlighting the strong connection between Embryo
and Shuttleworth College.
