ro ds. Little did I know I wa s i n , a n d t he f i s h wa s s l owly k i t i n g
to the right . I picked the ro d u p a n d s t ar te d p l ay i n g t h i s f i s h .
Fo r a minute, I thought I’d lo s t i t , a s I wa s j u s t re e l i n g l i n e i n !
A l l of a sudden it was unde rn e at h t he ro d t i p a n d d a r te d o f f
a gain! It looked a good fis h, s o I wa s p lay i ng i t wi th c a u t i o n !
A f ter a ten-minute battle, t h e c ar p s u rfa ce d , a n d in to t h e n e t
i t went . I rang my friend wh o wa s i n th e L aw n sw i m , a n d h e
q u ickly popped over to take p ho to s a n d we i gh i t ! T h e c u l p ri t
t h at slipped up weighed 2 1 lb 1 2 o z. A f te r I re l e a s e d t h a t f i s h ,
I got the rod straight bac k o ut o n t he s p o t im m e d i a te ly ! T h e
re st of the night was uneve n tf u l , b u t I wa s ve ry p l e a s e d to
h ave bagged my first fish f ro m Fu rz eb ray.
