It’s only when you start to list the French rivers that you
start to realize just how many there are! Of course we all know
the big ones such as the Seine and the Rhone but really there
are enough to keep anyone going for a lifetime. They don’t have
to be big rivers either, smaller ones like the Sarthe or the Cher
all hold carp – in fact the majority of French rivers will hold
carp of some description, many of which rarely get fished for.
