A l kaline tipped me off abo u t a n e w s p o t . T h e o n ly pro b l e m wa s
i t was a two-mile walk from p a rk i n g up , wh i ch i s n’ t a p ro b l e m ,
b u t all my fishing is straigh t f ro m wo rk a n d s t ra i gh t to wo rk
t h e next morning with a 3 0 - mi nu te d r ive . In t h e w i n te r t h a t
i s a long, dark walk, and eve n wo r s e i f i t’ s ra i n i n g ! T h e f i rs t
n i ght I did was two days a f te r t h e va n to o l ro b b e ry. At 6a m
t h e rod was off with a sm a ll , o ld T h a me s wa rri o r comm o n o f
1 3 lb 2oz. A half hour later my ro d wa s o f f a ga i n w i t h an o t h e r
