I popped out this mo rn i n g
f o r an hou r or so to fli ck a b i t
o f bread about in ho pe o f a
q u ick result, but after a w h i l e
i t became clear they were n ’t
u p for taking off the to p a n d
a f t er spotting a few c a r p
feeding on the bottom it made
sense to run back to the van
and grab a made up rod and
sit it out.
I placed a rig with a #VNF
wafter right down the edge
where I previously saw the
fish and only had to wait 20
minutes before spotting a dark
grey shape on the far bank.
My luck was obviously in
a s i t s l o w l y c r u i se d o v e r a n d
dropped down right on top of
t h e b a i t.
