an issue, unless you own a property with enough room to store a boat on a
trailer or have a permanent mooring. We had to store it on my mate’s drive,
as I lived in a flat, I didn’t have a tow bar and we could only fish together, as
it needed two of us to get it in and out. We did do the boat up as an out-andout fishing boat and even did the trailer up so it could take the same wheels
as his car. We caught a few carp, but the boat had no cabin or cuddy, so again
it was just used as transportation or short sessions. Sadly that didn’t work
out, the boat was sold and that was the end of that… which brings me back
to the end of the 2012/13 season that I fished from the bank and wrote
about last time.
A couple of years passed after that, and I was getting itchy feet on the Ellis
Pit, as I’d already had the Dink, which was by then the biggest fish in the lake.
Out of the blue, my friend Jim phoned me and said that he was now living
