To b e t o t a l l y h o n e s t , I ’ v e
never been a huge fan of
mid-summer
a n g l i n g,
but
this year I’ve fully embraced
it and with the prospects of
a few months’ work on some
lovely new gardens up in
Cotswolds, I figured I could
work some fishing in as well
- a well calculated bonus!
I ’d o n l y d o n e o n e n i g h t s i n c e
last autumn on the syndicate
so was looking forward to
getting back up there in
search of a few of the big ‘uns
I d i d n ’t m a n a g e i n t h e s p e l l
l a s t s u m m e r, a n d d e s p i t e t h e
forecast temperatures in the
h i g h 3 0 ’s , I w a s s t i l l m a d
keen to get after them. After
finding them in the edge on
