HORSESHOE
FROM THE WATER
After catching a few of Pump House's many commons, I decided that,
when I returned, I would give Horseshoe a go on the surface. By then,
high temperatures and no rain had caused a large algae bloom, but the
carp were very active.
It did not take long to catch some of Horseshoe's wily, wrinkly characters.
They were all commons until a small, scaly mirror appeared in perfect
condition. I will return for some of the lake's larger residents, but for now
the next stop was Mill Lane.
