FROM THE WATER
Each season you re allowed one 5-night session and I booked mine for late
September, my favourite time of year for big carp and as I was desperately
seeking one of them a team 50 plus big girls I just had to make the most of
it! I again found myself in boat house point, autumn was well and truly in
full flow and I put a significant amount of bait out on my spots, knowing I d
have a while to sit on it ..
and sit on it I did! After the second night I was up early, slightly despondent
and getting seriously itchy feet I started looking about for a possible move .
Just as I was about to make the decision my middle rod was away! A long
steady, heavy dogged fight and another one of Welly s jewels was in my
mesh, a proper character fish known as C scale looking back up at me and
looking big .. 46 odd pound in the scales she went and I got some great
snaps of her in the water and of course, I stayed well put lol!
