AT LAST
THREE YEARS
FROM THE WATER
Any one that knows me well, can tell you truthfully that the last three
years I have talked about only one fish! The Common . Why this one
haunted me so much is hard to say for certain, but it did! Upon reflection,
I think the place has a soft spot in my heart as was one of first places
Dad took me fishing as a bin lid in around 1986, so thinking about it it s
perfectly natural to want to catch the biggest fish in the lake!
Effort and hard work through cold Winter nights and hot Summer days,
and even speaking to the moon a couple of years ago when Dad finally
died at 84 has never tainted my belief that it would happen, it will be
mine !
I took the week off as this male fish can get caught normally until
September and then is not seen until April the following year, so again I
was running out of time.
