A RARE JEWEL What made the capture even more special was the
mystery surrounding it. After securing the fish, I realized I had never seen
this particular carp in any catch reports from the complex. Even more
surprisingly, when I showed the fish to the bailiff, he couldn't recognize
it either. On a complex as heavily fished and well-documented as Linear
Fisheries, catching a large, distinct carp that flies under the radar is
incredibly rare. It was a true testament to the fact that even in the most
popular waters, there are still unknowns swimming beneath the surface.
It was a perfect ending to the session, proving that sometimes, a simple,
targeted boilie approach is all it takes to trip up a rarely caught giant.
