AUTUMN PREP
LAST LIGHT
FROM THE WATER
With the clocks now changed, the autumn in full swing. It s imperative
to be as organized as ever and its great time to reorganize your kit. The
weather is going to be a lot less forgiving; you re often getting the rods out
just on last light or doing them in the dark, walking around in the wind
and rain. It s very easy to start winding down and not going as much, but it
really is a great time of year coming up especially for those biggens. Making
sure you ve got all the kit and having everything as organized and prepped
as possible will really help you to push on and make it happen through
this period.
A few things I do is to make sure my barrow is packed with waterproofs,
barrow cover and spare clothes. I check my brew kit, tackle pouch, rucksack
and bait freezer is all full and organized. Take the time to make sure I
have rigs, leaders, booms tied and ready to go. Get all my lights, flash and
camera charged as the activity can often be through the night. It s nothing
revolutionary but can really help to get the most from my trips .
