FIELD NOTES
I can remember sitting there with the girlfriend and saying to her, Look
at my line it s twitching! All of sudden, a massive swirl came up from
my rod that was on the other side margin, and the rod was off. As soon as
I lifted into it, it felt like a decent fish. It wasn t until I saw it come to the
surface that I knew straight away what I had. I was begging it would just
go over the net cord, and when it did, the buzz was unreal. It resulted in
me having my first ever UK 30 at 30lb 5oz, a mint common, and to share
the special moment with the girlfriend was amazing. So this year so far
I ve had 82 carp 16 different 20s, one 30 and my French fish were two
20s five 30s and one 40. My next mission is to get the 30lb mirror so
until next time, tight lines to all.
