I didn t put too much in, as they d probably seen a bit of bait over the bank
holiday weekend, putting out about half a kilo of Jim Rawcliffe s excellent
More Takes Fruit and Nut boilies, both whole and chopped, a tin of corn
and a small scattering of carp pellets.
What I also like to do at this time of year is give them a few carp sweets
in amongst the food bait, so about a dozen or so bright orange Richworth
Tutti Frutties were also introduced. Rig and hook bait wise on one rod
I used a Fruit and Nut snowman on the bottom using a trimmed-down
Clone pop-up to create a balanced bottom bait on a blowback rig with a
size 6 Curve Shank hook and a 10in coated braid hook length stripped back
near the hook to make a hinge.
