FIELD NOTES
Stew was allowing a handful of people that were helping out with the
work to fish the lake. After helping with the track that weekend, and a
few other weekends clearing snags and paths around the lake, Stew gave
me the nod to do a couple of nights. To be honest, I think it was my
leaf blowing skills, if I remember rightly. After going to pick up some
scaffolding poles for building swims one afternoon/evening I flicked out
a couple of singles from a swim called the Willows towards one of the
large islands. That lasted about two hours, as for some reason I really
wasn t feeling it and decided to head home.
A couple of months before my daughter was due to arrive, we had the
brightest of ideas to go out and get a dog.
