FIELD NOTES
I didn t bother weighing that one. I m guessing it was about 10lbs or
maybe 11lbs a lovely looking linear and definitely one for the future.
After a couple of mat shots, she was back in the drink.
The rest of the night passed without any action, not even from the tench,
and after sitting through from first light till about nine o clock, I really felt
like I d been mugged. You know those times when you re super confident
of a bite and it just doesn t happen? I left the rods where they were, as I
was 1000% happy with the way they had gone out the previous evening.
I m a bit of a 24-hour man, and unless I ve seen fish elsewhere and I m
on the move, my rods are staying where they are. I m glad I did as well,
as whilst I was sorting my and the dog s lunch at 1:00, the right hand
rod gave off a single bleep as the bobbin pulled up into the NXT-R then
dropped to the floor. We were on!
